MINISTRIES
Blood Donor Drive - each spring, the Christian Associates provide an opportunity for Valley residents to visit a member church and serve the community in this important way.
Campground Ministry - Worship is provided every Sunday at 10 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day for the campers at the Shenango Reservoir. Services are led by retired clergy and laypersons, supplemented by a song leader.
Christian Unity Service - This time of worship is held in conjunction with the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January, and includes a message by a guest preacher, worship led by local clergy, and music by an ecumenical choir.
Hunger Walk - Christian Associates sponsor this interdenominational event in October which raises money to feed the hungry. Three quarters of the money raised returns to the Valley for various food agencies; the remaining one fourth is distributed throughout the United States and abroad.
Hospital Chaplaincy - We provide a part-time Protestant chaplain to minister to patients, their families, and staff at Sharon Regional Hospital and its affiliated hospice.
Jewish-Christian Dialogue - Co-sponsored by Temple Beth Israel and Christian Associates, this program is designed to foster better relations and increased understanding.
Kettle Campaign - Members and friends of Christian Associates reach out in ecumenical love and staff a Salvation Army kettle at a local store for a period of time during the month of December.
Music Festival - Choirs and musicians from area churches share their music with an enthusiastic audience each winter.
Nursing Home Ministries - Pastors lead weekly worship on Tuesday afternoons at Clepper Manor on East State Street in Sharon, and on Thursday afternoons at John XXIII on the Shenango Valley Freeway in Hermitage.
Youth Network - This ministry brings local church youth and their leaders together for worship, fellowship, and service.
